The summer of 2013 produced another fantastic tennis season for the Hot Rackets Two Pair Competition. Also it is good to see that for the 2013 season there was another increase from last year in, CLUBS (37 to 44), TEAMS (71 to 102), DIVISIONS (12 to 14).
From the start of the Hot Rackets Two Pair League in 2009, every year has seen a steady rise in Clubs, Teams and Divisions, confirming the popularity of the Hot Rackets Two Pair Doubles League in Hertfordshire.
The 2013 season proved more exciting than ever, with even more teams battling for the top positions in their respective divisions. In fact in most divisions there was at least 3 to 4 teams in contention for the 'top spots/champion postions, right up to the last games of the season.
As usual the unique match winning 'Quick Fire Set' was played a record 49 times across all divisions, confirming how close many of the matches are becoming between teams.
Thanks to the many teams that have contacted us saying how much they have enjoyed the 'Quick Fire Sets', for the excitement, balanced teams, and the good quality tennis it created. I actually saw at least two matches that went to 'Quick Fire Sets', where the teams were down 5-2, and came back to win 6-5, it can't get more exciting than that!
Many thanks to all the captains for entering their match results quickly, in fact most results were recorded on the web site on the day of the completed matches. That is a great help in keeping the web site results and match statistics 'up to the minute', so everyone can see their latest/up to date divisional positions.
Congratulations to all the Champions and Runners Up teams. As you know the top two two clubs in all divisions will be promoted to the next higher division for next season.
Also please check on this web site (click on Leagues) to see all the clubs final league positions/stats, across all the divisions.

As usual special thanks to all our clubs, teams, players, captains and club administrators, who have all contributed to make the Hot Rackets 2013 season run smoothly, and have also produced the normal high standard, exciting and first class inter club tennis.
We look forward to you all playing again next season.

Best wishes from Tony Scott & the Hot Rackets Team 2013.
