INTER CLUB TENNIS LEAGUES
Dear Club Captains, Administrators, Contacts,
RE: START OF HOT RACKETS TENNIS – NORMAL LEAGUE/DIVISIONAL FIXTURES 2022
SEASON 2022 - WILL START: 2nd APRIL 2022 – WILL FINISH: 25th SEPTEMBER 2022
Hello everyone, hope you are all keeping safe, fit & well.
After what will be a two year break because of Coronavirus, we are planning to recommence Hot Rackets Inter Club Tennis back to normal League/Divisional Fixtures from April 2022.
We are ‘keeping positive’ that the successful ‘club tennis’ summer this year will lead to full competitive inter club tennis from next April 2022.
Hopefully there are no major Coronavirus setbacks through this winter, so again we will be ‘keeping watch’ on the Coronavirus situation and any possible government developments.
As you know we contacted you all in April/May of this year confirming that only friendly matches would take place during the 2021 season because of the uncertainty regarding the Coronavirus situation.
It is good to report that many clubs played Inter Club Hot Rackets friendly matches that were reported as a success, so at least players/teams/clubs were playing tennis again, between clubs.
As this summer progressed, more & more clubs opened up their clubhouses, car sharing was allowed, restrictions were relaxed & some sort of normality regarding tennis got back to normal, and many clubs, teams & players were ‘safely’ playing inter club tennis matches.
Also it was good to see that some other leagues were successfully playing ‘actual competitive’ inter club tennis.
Because of this summer’s successful tennis friendlies, competitive matches, and club social tennis, we have therefore agreed to try and launch Hot Rackets as normal for 2022.
As happened earlier this year we again need your help, although we have all our fixtures & divisions in place, to be ready to restart we need to know what clubs/teams will be taking part in 2022.
Please see the attached list of all clubs/teams/divisions entered originally for the 2020 competition. This is the same amount of clubs & teams we would presume to restart the 2022 Hot Rackets competition.
Therefore could I please ask all clubs to send me a basic email within the next two weeks, before or no later than 12th DECEMBER 2021,
to confirm they will be entering their club & the same amount of teams for the restart of the competition for the 2022 season.
This is important information as we need to know ASAP if teams entered within the divisions for 2020 will still be the same for 2022.
The quicker we know the teams/divisions from 2020, we can confirm the teams/divisions for 2022.
Also please let me know by 12th DECEMBER 2021 if there are any captain/club contact changes for the 2022 season.
Once we receive all the confirmed clubs/teams, we will send out the standard administration/communications/club contact details regarding the new 2022 season, as normal in all previous seasons.
As you know everything was ready to start in 2020 with all clubs/teams/divisions & fixtures all organised to commence in April 2020.
Normally in November we send out to all clubs the Entry Form for the following year, this year there is no need as we have all the clubs/teams/captain contact details, that entered from the 2020 Entry Forms.
Also all the work was done setting up the 2020 season, therefore the fees paid for the 2020 season will now transfer to the 2022 season, so there are no fees to be paid for the 2022 season
All fixtures, divisions & teams will be the same as was set for 2020, therefore all the same teams/fixtures/divisions from 2020 will be transferred to 2022.
All details regarding all teams/divisions/fixtures are still the same on the Hot Rackets web site www.hotrackets.co.uk , so you can view your applicable matches ready for the 2022 season. Plus there may be one or two new ‘replacement’ teams added to applicable divisions/fixtures for the 2022 season.
Over the next few weeks, on the website, we will change the existing 2020 dates to the correct calendar dates for 2022, e.g. Saturday 4/4/20 will now be Saturday 2/4/22, therefore this will apply to all dates for 2022.

At present the web site is still not ‘interactive’ so your existing club User Names & Passwords will not work.
We will contact everyone once the web site becomes ‘interactive’, and when your club User names & Passwords will work again to enter your match results on the electronic score sheet.
As long as everything stays as it was this summer, ‘fingers crossed’, we will re-start from the 2nd April 2022.
Hopefully we will be back to playing normal inter club league tennis again, as mentioned above, this will still be subject to no further lockdowns or government restrictions, etc.
